About & methodology

Apify Radar is an independent leaderboard and intelligence tool for the Apify Store. It tracks every public actor on the marketplace so you can see, at a glance, what is actually used, trusted and paid for.

Where the data comes from

Every figure is sourced from Apify's public API — the same data shown on each actor's store page. A collector crawls the full store once a day and stores a dated snapshot, so trends build up over time. Nothing here is scraped from behind a login.

How to read the metrics

Users & runs are lifetime totals reported by Apify. New / 30d is users gained in the last 30 days — a demand signal.

Success rateis the share of an actor's runs in the last 30 days that finished successfully — a reliability signal that most listings don't surface.

Momentumcompares an actor's last 7 days of new users to its 90-day weekly average. A value above 1× means it is accelerating.

Estimated revenue is shown only for subscription (monthly-priced) actors, as 30-day active users × the monthly price. It is a gross, directional estimate — not actual earnings — and is not computed for usage-based pricing, where the underlying volume isn't public.

Coverage & limitations

Apify Radar tracks every actor reachable through Apify's public Store API — around 21,000. Apify's own site advertises a larger figure (~31,000), but its API structurally limits how deep the store can be paginated: past a certain depth it returns progressively smaller pages and then stops. Those additional actors aren't accessible to any external tool, ours included — and they are the long, zero-traffic tail, so the leaderboards and insights are unaffected.

Revenue and momentum are estimates. Treat every number as directional, not exact.

Opportunities

/opportunities ranks underserved niches in the store. A niche is a category-pair intersection (e.g. Real estate × SEO tools) of at least five competing actors with real 30-day demand. Each row carries a tier — Hot, Strong, Promising, or Modest — that combines the niche's demand, how saturated it is, and the quality gap left by the dominant actor. Click any niche to see the full competing field and notes on how to enter it.

Independence & disclosure

Apify Radar is built by Godberry Studios and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Apify.

Godberry Studios publishes its own actors on the Apify Store. Where one of them sits inside a niche surfaced by Radar, a small Godberry actor disclosure label is shown so the conflict-of-interest is visible. The ranking itself is computed identically for every actor; nothing is re-weighted in our own favour.
